More and more people prefer yachting. And not only because of the romance. It is comfortable and calm on a yacht. A yacht is a means of transportation, a hotel, a restaurant, and a beach.
Despite its size (and a yacht for comfortable travel can be from 10 m in length) the boat provides everything you need for a full-fledged vacation.
Cabins
Usually, cruise yachts have double cabins with comfortable, very long and wide double berths. But there are also cabins where the berths are located like seats in a train compartment - one above the other.
For all vacationers, their own corner is important. On a yacht, where people are forced to be in a confined space, a separate cabin is just your secluded place. And even during a multi-day trip, you will always be able to be alone with yourself.
All things will also fit compactly in the cabins. The exception is suitcases. Yacht lockers (special compartments for things) have a limited volume. Therefore, it is more convenient to bring things to the yacht in a soft frameless folding bag. They can be stylish, comfortable, sealed - and most importantly, lightweight. This is an opportunity to take extra kilos of gifts and drinks from your vacation on the plane, and if the bag is sealed, your things will remain dry in any weather and humidity.
Facilities
On cruise yachts, which are usually taken on charter, there is always a latrine – that is, a toilet, washbasins and a shower. Keep in mind, however, that the rooms on the yacht are all quite modest in size, but the amenities do not cease to be comfortable. The latrines are electric (on motor yachts and expensive sailing yachts) and pumped – on most sailing yachts. The crew will teach you how to use them.
Lunches
The yacht has a galley - a marine kitchen. It usually consists of a sink, a gas or alcohol stove with or without an oven, a cutting table, a set of necessary containers for preparing all kinds of dishes, necessary knives and cutlery with a set.
Usually, during voyages, the crew members themselves cook according to the watch. Of course, you can invite a professional cook, but cooking together is better for team cohesion.
You can cook even when the ship is rocking – all the stoves have a special suspension, and the pot always remains in a horizontal plane. The range of dishes depends on the imagination of the galley watch – from navy-style macaroni to delicate salmon ceviche and tiramisu.
Water recreation
On the deck of a yacht, in good weather and without storm wind, you can sunbathe. The main thing to remember is to use sunscreen. Otherwise, you will quickly burn.
The captain will determine the best places for swimming. There is always a special swimming ladder or even a swimming platform at the stern, which can be lowered to make it easier to get on the yacht after swimming.
Dream
A calm and sweet sleep on a sailing yacht is guaranteed if the weather is good. When the yacht enters the marina for the night, the light splash of the waves that you will hear through the sides in the cabins will gently lull you to sleep.
Of course, you can spend the night in hotels on the shore, but you must agree that it is much more interesting to experience the sleep of a sailor, gently rocking on the waves.
