Start and finish of practice in Chalong Bay, Phuket .. The route is free and is drawn up by the instructor. Every day after classes we return to Phuket to Chalong Bay.

What will you learn

Sail theory and physical foundations of navigation;
Classification of ships;
The structure of the yacht, knowledge of the main parts and their purpose (spars, rigging);
Working with the engine, checking the engine before starting, turning on, turning off, the correct operation of the cooling system, troubleshooting;
Setting, tuning and cleaning sails;
Knowledge of sailing ship courses, sailing maneuvers, sheet and halyard handling, reef taking;
Use of ship's household appliances, kitchen equipment, toilets, showers;
Filling water and fuel tanks;
Working with mooring lines, ropes, the ability to connect two ends with the same and different diameters, folding the end into a bay, using winches;
Knowledge of knots - arbor, fishing, bleached, figure eight, duck establishment, mooring fastening, etc .;
Knowledge of mooring methods, correct handling of mooring lines: throwing, receiving, recoil, fastening;
Handling fenders, knowledge of the knots for their fastening;
Mooring at anchor, types of anchors and peculiarities of their use, control of the anchor winch;
Control of an inflatable boat (dingoi, tuzik), outboard motor and fuel, safety measures, attachment and removal from the deck, use of oars;
Safety on board: transportation on board, the necessary rescue equipment on the yacht, fire safety, personal rescue equipment, first aid kit, methods of giving distress signals, basic rules in case of fire;
Assistance to the skipper: observation of the terrain, transmission of information about the direction of the yacht, about the direction to objects, knowledge of the main lights of one's own and surrounding boats in the dark, keeping a logbook;
The ability to keep the yacht's course at the helm.

All of the above terms are in Russian, a graduate of the International Sailing School ISSA should know English (I use English terminology). This is not as difficult as it might seem at first glance. Everything that is read to you in theoretical lectures is immediately consolidated by practice with constant repetition in both languages. Thus, memorization occurs automatically, allowing you to be free in any international carriage.
